Borovets - The Green Resort

Borovets, the first and most famous Bulgarian mountain resort, is situated on the northern slopes of the Rila Mountain at an altitude of 1300 meters. The resort enjoys a perfect location right at the foot of Mount Musala (2925 m), the highest peak on the Balkans. Only 72 km away from Sofia and just 126 km away from Plovdiv, Borovets is easily accessible from all parts of Bulgaria.

Borovets Mountain Bike Park

Borovets Mountain Bike Park was set up in 2010 and has over 20km marked trails with different levels of difficulty, equally suitable for beginners and experts. The park’s pride is the downhill trail. With its 2400m of length and 440m of denivelation it is perfectly equipped to provide lots of excitement and suspense. It is built by all accepted standards and is suitable for holding international competitions and adjust global level. This season was especially built family track which is suitable for all ages. It is 14 km long, with a light workload, toured some of the most beautiful places in the resort. For the passage you need about two hours, which makes it very suitable for family outings.
A special equipment on Sitnyakovo Express lift allows to hook the bikes on the side of the chairs. In less than 12 minutes you and your bike will reach the starting line of an unforgettable adventure. Throughout the park are used only natural materials, making the park clean in perfect harmony with the environment.    

Cyclists without helmets are not allowed on the trails.

The routes are scenic and enthusiastic cyclists lead to several spectacular vistas and natural treasures in the vicinity of the Borovets - Black Rock, Musalenska path and Musala, Royal Bystrica Sitnyakovo Palace and others.

Routes are logically connected to each other, thereby cyclists can upload one lift to tour six trails or 10 km

After the descent, riders are able to use special separate place to wash and clean their bikes or repair it at self service point.
